Born in China, 1991. Lives and works in London and Beijing.
Anqi Zhao is an artist working in performance, installation, moving images. Her works tend to play with the language and the alternative presence of human bodies, exploring integrated individual mythologies in the contemporary context by transforming the familiar to the unfamiliar in a playful and performative way.
Anqi received her MA in Fine Art in 2017 with a Distinction, and the second MA in Performance Design and Practice in 2019. Her works were shown in Exhibitions and Performance Projects in China, France, Japan Greece, Italy and UK.
